Can I use Projects, Artifacts, and other Pro features?

【Claude Pro】Can I use Projects, Artifacts, and other Pro features?

Yes — the shared account is a full Pro plan; here's how to set up Projects, work with Artifacts, and share the space politely.

Can I use Projects, Artifacts, and other Pro features?

Yes. You're on a full Pro account, so Projects, Artifacts, file uploads, and vision all work exactly as they would on your own subscription — nothing is stripped down.

Projects: pin your context in place

Projects shine for ongoing, multi-session work on one theme (a thesis, a codebase):

  1. In the claude.ai sidebar, click "Projects" → "New Project" and name it.
  2. Upload reference files under "Project knowledge" on the right — Claude remembers them across every chat in that project.
  3. Add custom "Instructions" if you like, e.g. "Always answer in formal English".
  4. Every new chat you start inside the project carries that context automatically, so you stop re-pasting material.

Sharing note: Projects are visible to all members. Prefix yours with an initial (e.g. "K — thesis analysis") so people can tell them apart, leave other members' projects alone, and delete projects you no longer need — it frees space and protects your own material.

Artifacts: the live preview panel

When Claude writes code, a web page, an SVG, or a long document, it opens in the Artifacts panel beside the chat:

  • Live preview for HTML/React output — iterate and watch it update.
  • Version switcher to step back through earlier revisions.
  • Copy or download buttons in the corner — save anything you care about to your own device as soon as it looks right.

If the panel never appears, check that Artifacts is toggled on under Settings → feature options.

Everything else that works

  • File uploads: drag PDFs, Word/Excel files, images, and code straight into the message box.
  • Image understanding: upload screenshots for OCR, chart reading, or explanations.
  • Voice input in the mobile app: available.

The one exception: leave anything under account/security settings, login methods, or full data export untouched. Every regular feature is fair game.
