How do I join the Duolingo family plan?

There is only one core action: open the invite link, sign in with your own Duolingo account, and accept. The whole thing takes a minute or two.

Step 1: Get your invite link

1. Log in to FoxVIP, go to My Subscriptions, and open your Duolingo Plus order.
2. On the order detail page you will find your family plan invite link (a URL starting with invite.duolingo.com).
3. Copy the full link. It is tied to your seat — do not share it with anyone.

Step 2: Open the link and sign in

1. Paste the link into a browser on your phone or computer (on mobile it may jump straight into the Duolingo app — that works too).
2. When prompted, sign in with the Duolingo account you actually study on — email and password, Google, or Apple sign-in.
3. Important: do not create a brand-new account at this step, or the membership will land on an empty account instead of the one with your progress.

Step 3: Accept the invitation

1. After signing in you will see a confirmation screen like "Join [name]'s Family Plan".
2. Tap Accept / Join.
3. Once it confirms, open the Duolingo app. The Super badge shows up on your profile and ads disappear immediately.

If it doesn't work

• The link errors out or spins forever: make sure you copied the entire URL, then try a different browser.
• The page shows someone else's account: sign out at duolingo.com first, then open the link again.
• It says the link is expired or the plan is full: refresh the link from your order page, or see "What if the invite link is expired or I can't join?".
