What should I watch out for after Plus is activated?
Once you get the completion notice, spend a minute confirming the status, then remember a few "don'ts" and you'll enjoy the full membership period without issues.
Step 1: confirm the upgrade
- Sign in at chatgpt.com, click your avatar (bottom-left) → Settings → Subscription.
- Confirm it shows ChatGPT Plus with an expiry date roughly one month out (or the term you purchased).
- Open the model picker in a chat and confirm Plus-only models are available.
Take a screenshot of the Subscription page — it's useful evidence if you ever need after-sales support.
Don'ts during the paid period
- Don't click "Cancel subscription" in ChatGPT. A topped-up subscription won't auto-charge you, so there's nothing to cancel — and canceling may end your membership early.
- Don't request a refund from OpenAI. That cancels Plus immediately, can flag the account, and voids your after-sales eligibility with FoxVIP.
- Don't touch billing settings. Leave the payment method and billing details on the subscription as they are; changes can break the subscription.
- Changing your password is fine after the top-up completes (never during processing) — it doesn't affect an active Plus membership.
Normal use
- Plus usage limits (like message caps on advanced models) are OpenAI's standard rules for all Plus users; they have nothing to do with the top-up method.
- When the term ends, Plus simply lapses and the account returns to the free tier — your chat history is untouched. To continue, place a new top-up order on FoxVIP.
