How do I delete Grok chat history?

You can delete any single conversation in a few clicks, or manage history in bulk from Settings. Deletion is permanent — there is no undo.

Delete one conversation (web)

1. Open grok.com and look at the conversation list in the left sidebar.
2. Hover over the conversation you want to remove.
3. Click the "…" menu that appears → Delete.
4. Confirm. The conversation disappears immediately for everyone on the account.

Delete one conversation (mobile app)

1. Open the Grok app and go to your chat list.
2. Long-press the conversation.
3. Tap Delete and confirm.

Bulk options

Under Settings → Data Controls you can manage or clear conversation history in one action.

⚠️ On a shared account, please only delete your own conversations. Clearing all history wipes every member's chats and can't be reversed — use the Data Controls "clear everything" option only if you're certain nothing there belongs to someone else.

Prefer leaving no trace at all?

If you'd rather a conversation never appears in history in the first place, use the Private Chat (Ghost mode) toggle before you start — nothing gets saved, so there's nothing to delete later.
