How do I set a PIN on my HBO Max profile?

Any adult profile can be locked with a 4-digit PIN under Manage Profiles → Profile Lock. On a shared account this is worth doing: it stops other members from opening your profile by accident and mixing up your watch history.

Set the PIN

1. Sign in and enter your own profile (the one named on your FoxVIP order page).
2. Click your avatar — top right on the web, bottom or side bar in the app — and choose Manage Profiles.
3. Select your profile.
4. Open Profile Lock (shown as "PIN" on some devices).
5. Enter a 4-digit number, confirm it, and save. From now on, opening your profile prompts for the PIN.

Only lock your own profile — putting a PIN on someone else's profile locks *them* out.

PINs and kids profiles

Kids profiles work the other way around: they don't have their own PIN, they're managed from an adult profile. Exiting kids mode back to an adult profile asks for the adult profile's PIN, which is what keeps children inside the kid-safe catalog.

Forgot your PIN?

1. On the PIN prompt, choose Forgot PIN? (or go through Manage Profiles again).
2. Confirm with the account password — grab the current one from your FoxVIP order page.
3. Set a new 4-digit PIN.

If it doesn't work

• The PIN option is missing → you're on a kids profile; PINs are adult-profile only.
• The account password is rejected at the reset step → the password was rotated; refresh your order page for the latest one.
• The prompt loops on TV → update the app, or reset the PIN from a web browser instead.
