Which countries can I watch HBO Max in?

HBO Max isn't available worldwide. It operates in the US, most of Europe, Latin America, and parts of Southeast Asia — and if you're outside those markets, you can still watch, but only through a stable connection whose IP sits in a supported region.

• Asia — Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, among others

There is no local HBO Max service in mainland China, Japan, South Korea, or India. Opening max.com from these places shows an unavailable notice or blocks sign-up and playback.

Watching from an unsupported region

You'll need your own network environment whose IP belongs to a supported region — it must be stable, because an IP that hops around mid-stream causes playback interruptions and re-verification.
