iCloud+
【iCloud+】What else can I do with iCloud+?
Besides 2TB of storage, every family member can independently use Private Relay, Hide My Email, HomeKit Secure Video, and a custom email domain.
What else can I do with iCloud+?
Beyond the 2TB storage pool, every family member can turn on and use each of these iCloud+ extras independently — one member's settings never affect another's.
iCloud Private Relay
Encrypts your Safari traffic in two hops so that neither websites nor your network provider can assemble a full picture of who you are and what you browse.
- Turn it on: Settings → [your name] → "iCloud" → "Private Relay".
- Note: it covers Safari and some system traffic only, and it's unavailable in certain countries and on certain networks (mainland China networks, for example) — that's an Apple-side restriction.
Hide My Email
Generates random @icloud.com forwarding addresses for signing up to websites and newsletters. Mail forwards to your real inbox, and you can deactivate any address the moment it starts attracting junk.
- Create one: Settings → [your name] → "iCloud" → "Hide My Email" → "Create New Address".
- In Safari, the keyboard bar also offers a hidden address automatically whenever you tap an email field.
HomeKit Secure Video
HomeKit-compatible cameras can store encrypted recordings in iCloud, and the footage doesn't count against the 2TB pool. The 2TB family plan supports an unlimited number of cameras. Set a camera's recording option to iCloud inside the Home app.
Custom Email Domain
Attach a domain you own (say, [email protected]) to iCloud Mail. Go to iCloud.com → "Account Settings" → "Custom Email Domain" and follow the DNS verification steps.
Everything above is already included in your order — whether to use each feature is entirely up to you, at no extra cost.
