What's the difference between Fast and Relax mode, and what if I run out?
In short: Fast trades GPU hours for speed; Relax is free but queued. When Fast hours run out, the account automatically switches to Relax — you can still generate without limits, it just takes longer.

A standard generation costs roughly 1 minute of Fast time; upscales, --q 2, and large aspect ratios cost more.
How the shared pool works
FoxVIP Midjourney orders run on a shared account, so the monthly Fast hours are consumed by all users together, first come first served. That means:
- Don't camp in Fast mode for bulk generation — use Relax for everyday output.
- Fast hours reset with the account's official billing cycle and don't roll over.
- The account-wide mode setting affects everyone, so never change the default mode in settings. To control the mode for a single job, use a parameter instead (below).
Checking and switching modes
- Check remaining hours: on the web app, avatar (top right) → Manage Subscription shows remaining Fast Hours (look, but don't touch any subscription options). On Discord, run
/info. - Per-job mode: append
--relaxor--fastto your prompt. It applies to that one generation only and leaves global settings alone — the safest habit on a shared account.
What happens when Fast runs out?
- The account continues in Relax automatically; nothing breaks, jobs just queue.
- Queue times track platform-wide load — late night and off-peak hours are much faster.
- Hours restore automatically at the next billing cycle; no action needed.
