Work through network speed, DNS, app cache, and the concurrent-device limit in order to fix most playback problems in a few minutes.

Netflix won't load, keeps buffering, or looks blurry — a quick checklist

Most playback problems come down to network speed, a stale app cache, or the 2-device limit. Work through these checks in order — each takes a minute or two.

1. Check your connection

  1. Run a speed test on the device you're watching on (fast.com is Netflix's own tester). You need roughly 5 Mbps for HD and 15 Mbps+ for 4K.
  2. If speed is low: move closer to the router, switch from Wi-Fi to wired, or pause other downloads on the network.
  3. Reboot the router if other sites are slow too.

2. Check DNS and network path

  1. If Netflix specifically won't open while other sites work, try switching your device's DNS to a public resolver such as 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8.
  2. Using a VPN or proxy? Try toggling it — some exit nodes are slow or blocked by Netflix, causing endless loading or errors.

3. Clear the app cache and restart

  1. TV / mobile app: fully quit the Netflix app, clear its cache in system settings (Android: Settings → Apps → Netflix → Clear cache), and reopen. On smart TVs, unplugging the TV for 30 seconds works surprisingly often.
  2. Browser: try an incognito window; if that works, clear the site's cookies and cache.
  3. Sign out and back in if the app opens but content won't load — grab the current login details from your FoxVIP order page first.

4. Blurry picture specifically

  1. Wait 30–60 seconds — Netflix starts low and ramps up as bandwidth allows.
  2. Set Account → your Profile → Playback settings → High; Auto and Data Saver cap the resolution.
  3. Confirm the device and title actually support the resolution you expect.

5. Check the device limit

If you see a "too many devices" or streaming-limit error, your order's 2 simultaneous streams are in use. Stop playback elsewhere, or go to Account → Security → Manage access and devices and sign out idle devices.

When to contact support

If you've been through all five checks and Netflix still fails on every device and network you try, the issue may be with the account itself.
