Each family member gets their own private 1TB of OneDrive — nobody else can see your files. How to check the upgrade and use it on web, desktop, and mobile.

How does the 1TB of OneDrive storage work?

Once you join the family group, your Microsoft account is upgraded automatically from the free 5GB to 1TB of OneDrive. That terabyte is yours alone: every family member gets their own 1TB, nothing is pooled, and no one can see anyone else's files.

Confirm the upgrade

Open onedrive.com and sign in with your Microsoft account.
Check the storage meter at the bottom left — "X GB used of 1TB" means the upgrade went through.
Still showing 5GB right after joining? Wait 10–30 minutes and refresh, or sign out and back in.

Three ways to use it

Web: upload, download, and manage files directly at onedrive.com from any browser.
Desktop sync: Windows has the OneDrive client built in (Mac users can get it from the App Store). After signing in, a designated folder syncs with the cloud, and Word/Excel documents saved to OneDrive get AutoSave.
Mobile app: the OneDrive app for iOS/Android can also back up your camera roll automatically.

Privacy

Your files and photos are visible only to you. Other family members — including the FoxVIP admin account — cannot see them.
What the family group shares is the *subscription benefit*, never the files. Nothing leaves your account unless you explicitly use the Share feature to send someone a link.
Your Microsoft account and password belong to you. FoxVIP never knows your credentials.

Common questions

Running out of space? Go to onedrive.com → Settings → Options → Manage storage to see what's using it. Emptying the recycle bin frees space immediately.
What happens to my files when the subscription ends? Storage drops back to 5GB. Files over the limit aren't deleted, but they become read-only and you can't upload anything new. Renew in time or back up beforehand.
