Can I change my country back later?

Spotify

【Spotify】Can I change my country back later?

Yes — leave the family plan (or let the subscription lapse), then switch the country back under Edit profile; playlists survive the whole round trip.

Can I change my country back later?

Yes. Once your subscription ends or you leave the family group, you can switch your account's country back to the original setting anytime. Your playlists and saved music survive the entire round trip.

How to change it back

  1. Leave the family plan first: when the order expires your account drops back to Free automatically. To leave early, open spotify.com/account → Your plan → choose Leave on the family plan page, or ask FoxVIP support to have the plan manager remove you.
  2. Confirm you're on the Free plan: the account overview should say Spotify Free. While you're in a family group, your country follows the group and can't be changed independently.
  3. Switch the country: go to Edit profileCountry or region, pick your original country, and save. Free accounts can only edit this field while connected from the target country — if you're physically there, your everyday connection works fine.

Limits to keep in mind

  • No changes while in the group: the group decides your region; leave first if you need to change it.
  • The plan-switching cap: changing your country back has no limit of its own, but joining a *different* family plan within 12 months of leaving one is restricted. Renewing the same FoxVIP group later is unaffected.
  • Using a Free account abroad: Spotify limits how long a Free account can stream outside its set country before prompting you to confirm your location — when prompted, just set the country to where you actually are.

If you hit an error while leaving or switching back, contact FoxVIP live support with your order number.
