Spotify
【Spotify】How do I change my Spotify country or region?
Change your country under Edit profile at spotify.com/account — including what to do when the field is grayed out (needs a network connection from the target country) or you're still on your own paid Premium.
How do I change my Spotify country or region?
Sign in at spotify.com/account in a browser and change Country or region under Edit profile. This setting can't be changed in the app — it's web only.
Steps
- Open spotify.com/account in a browser and sign in.
- Go to Account → Edit profile.
- Find the Country or region field and pick the target country from the dropdown.
- Click Save profile at the bottom of the page.
- Return to the account overview, confirm the country has updated, then open the family invite link again.
Two cases that need extra preparation
- The dropdown is grayed out: free accounts can only edit this field while connected from the target country. Route your connection through that country (e.g., with your own network tool), refresh the page, and try again.
- You're paying for Premium yourself: an individual Premium plan's country follows your payment method and usually can't be changed directly. Cancel your own subscription first, wait for the account to drop back to Free, change the country as above, then accept the family invite.
If it doesn't work
- The invite page still reports a country mismatch after the change: log out of Spotify and back in so the setting syncs, then retry.
- The target country isn't in the dropdown: verify your connection actually exits from that country.
- Your Premium is billed through the App Store or another third party: cancel it on that platform first — you must be on the Free plan to change country.
