【TV Companion】My device won't sign in or activate — what now?
Work through four checks — verification code, sign-in location, device limit, and store region — to fix most TV Companion login failures in minutes.
My device won't sign in or activate — what now?
Nearly every failure comes down to one of four things: the verification code, the sign-in location, the device limit, or a region mismatch. Run these checks in order — most cases resolve within a couple of minutes.
Check 1: The verification code
- When the code prompt appears, go to FoxVIP → My Subscriptions → your order → Get Verification Code / Login Info.
- Codes expire quickly. If a code is rejected, fetch a fresh one and always use the latest.
- No new code showing up? Tap "Resend" on the sign-in screen, then refresh the order page.
Check 2: Wrong sign-in location
- If you're stuck signing in at the top of Settings (Apple Account), cancel immediately — that's the iCloud entry. It won't work and it risks locking your device.
- Retry at the correct entries: the profile icon inside the TV or Music app, or Settings → App Store → Media & Purchases.
- On an Apple TV box, use Settings → Users & Accounts → Add New User.
Check 3: Device limit reached
Each order allows up to 2 devices at once. If Apple complains the account is active on too many devices, or you just switched phones:
- Sign the account out inside the relevant apps on the old device.
- Wait about 5 minutes, then sign in on the new device.
Check 4: Region and network
- Can't find the app in the store — Infuse and others must come from the account's own store region; sign in to Media & Purchases with the order account first, then search again.
- "This Apple Account has not been used in this store" — tap Review → accept the terms → set payment method to None → done.
- Endless spinner or network errors — switch between Wi-Fi and cellular; corporate and campus networks sometimes block Apple's verification servers.
Still failing?
Screenshot the exact error message and contact FoxVIP live support with your order number — they can verify the account status or issue a replacement.
